Movie Review: Agneepath

It’s been a while since I’ve seen an Indian movie, I actually kept away from them coz ta3aqdt menhom :/ Anyways, I only watch movies for 3 actors; Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor & SharuKhan. These are the only worth watching them. I’ve been waiting for this movie coz it’s Hrithik & PRIYANKA πŸ˜€ love this duo, they’re fantastic! Their acting is superb & not to mention both look hot together!

The story started on a good path, it was going very well but then it started to stretch beyond imagination! The only thing that kept me going is Hrithik πŸ˜› & Priyanka ofcourse πŸ˜‰ & The ending, my my my … i thought Indian movies passed that phase where the hero becomes superman & starts killing everyone when he’s stabbed & brutally beaten! and kills the villain at the end *cries* teshele5 mo 6abi3i enehaya! I loved the music, it was very beautiful & the songs made us dance in the theatre.

The story is about a boy who witnesses the death of his father by an evil man & vengeance becomes his main goal in his life!

i loved the guest appearance of Katrina Kaif in this song

Movie Review: The Help

The Help is a drama movie based on the novelΒ The Help. It talks about the black ladies who were being used as maids and how they’re living in hell serving white women. Not all of them ofcourse but many. Starring Emma Stone (Skeeter) Viola Davies (Aibileen), Bryce Dallas Howard (Hilly) and Octavia Spencer (Minny).

I loved the book so much that i couldn’t wait til the movie was out. Hilarious by all means. All actors portrayed their characters perfectly except for Skeeter, wished it was Nicole Kidman but Emma Stone did good. Minny & Hilly drove me to tears from laughter, these 2 characters were really insane.

The movie is a must watch πŸ˜€

Movie Review: Immortals

I was very lucky to arrive to Dubai when this movie was showing there! Couldn’t help but watch it ofcourse πŸ™‚ Henry Cavill, Joseph Morgan, Luke Evans & Stephan Dorff ❀ I have to say Reel Cinema (Duabi Mall) is awesome!

Let’s talk about the movie! It’s one of the Greek Mythologies which I’ve studied back in uni so I kinda had a background. It’s the story of Β Theseus who has been trained by Zeus (God of Sun) to lead a future fight against a very awful & evil King “Hyperion” who wants to obtains a weapon that can destroy them all.

The story of the movie was amazing & well played by each actor! Even Freida Pinto who I don’t like that much, but in this movies she was great! The graphics were a little bit exaggerated but well it didn’t do any damage! Henry Cavill & Stephan Morgan rocked the hall . . . Even Michael Rourke.

If you have a weak heart, then don’t watch it! coz i’m telling you, some scenes were really strong that I myself almost felt the pain in my body from what I saw! Yes, it’s that strong! Even the whole cinema screamed & ah’d at one particular scen *ouch* or maybe 2 scenes πŸ˜›

One of the strongest movies in 2011 . . . Loved it ❀

Movie Review: Colombiana

Not a big fan of Zoe Saldana but I can manage watching her movies. She’s very dramatic, her acting makes you feel uncomfortable as if she’s itching your body! Don’t ask me how, I just feel that but anyways, we went to the movies & watched Colombiana.

It’s about a lil girl who’s being trained as a killer just to avenge the death of her parents who were killed infront of her eyes. The movie has a message; Revenge will not get you what you want, will not bring those you’ve lost back & will definitely destroy your life. Living in anger & hate will make you miserable & will make you lose your loved ones.

I actually liked the idea of the movie but the acting as I said is exaggerated specially the martial art!

Guess who was in the movie & made me jump when I saw his face?!

Movie Review: Real Steel

I’m a huge Hugh Jackman fan, I try to watch all of his movies not caring what’s the genre or the plot! If it’s Hugh Jackman then it’s a must but when Husband chose this movie I was skeptical! Didn’t think it will be that good . . . boy I was wrong! I was about to stand in the middle & just dance with the lil boy! The soundtrack is really amazing, im gonna download the songs right away! The movie is kinda hip & funky, nothing special about it but it’s something new that I haven’t seen before & it’s very entertaining!

Hugh Jackman avec Evangeline Lilly (I ADORE HER) so imagine how the movie was! It’s about a father who abandoned his son to seek his passion in fighting/boxing by using huge robots! Then he has to take care of his son & finds out he has the same passion & along father & son get the chance to bond & share their love & hobby.

I’d watch it again, again, & again

Movie Review: Soul Surfer

If you think you’re going through tough time because of a minor problem, if you think you’ve lost everything because you didn’t get what you want, if you think your life is worth nothing because no one is around you . . . think again!!! Watch this movie, based on a true story of the teen surfer Bethany Hamilton who was attacked by a shark & lost one of her arms! She didn’t give up, she stood again & went back to the water & even competed in competitions & won the 1st place in one of them. Now, that’s what I call a courageous soul.

When I first saw the trailer I was skeptical about the actress AnnaSophia Robb but when I watched the movie, she proved me wrong. Such a powerful character, she even made me cry several times *sniff*

Get your tissue box ready & watch this movie. & Appreciate what you have.

The real Bethany Hamilton

Book Review: The Help

Such an amazing book. Full of enlightenment about the old days when black people were treated like shit yet very entertaining. What can I say about the characters? Each has its own uniqueness and wittiness. This book made me so furious yet it made me laugh like crazy, special that crazy help Minny πŸ˜› I loved what she did to Hilly hehe πŸ˜‰

It’s about a book being written by a white woman (Skeeter) about the black maids and how they’re treated by their employers (white ladies). and how the main 3 characters (Skeeter, Aibileen, & Minny) become closer.

I’ve heard this book is gonna be a movie, and immediately I imagined Nicole Kidman as “Skeeter” but when I’ve checked, the role was done by Emma stone. Can’t wait for the movie to come out πŸ˜€

Movie Review: Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Before I start talking about the movie, let me just say that Ciniescape is really really unorganized at all. When the movie was supposed to start, they screened The Goblet of Fire instead of the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and it took them around 10 minutes to fix the problem and show the main movie. What kind of administration is this?!

Anyways, we start with the movie. I haven’t read the books yet and I’ve always believed that books are much better than movies because they include little details that are important to one’s imagination. Most of you have read the books so you all know how it is supposed to end. To me, it was a shock *sniff*, someone very dear to my heart died in that movie :(. The graphics are beyond magnificent and all the characters have been majorly transformed. I really loved the ending. We won’t be seeing any more of Harry Potter!

Oh yeah and there were 4 teenage boys who were dressed just as Hogwarts, they were very cute in that outfit πŸ˜€

These are the cute kids that i saw at the movies. Saw their pix on FB and it turned out they’re the boys (and one girl; far right) of a lovely lady i know on FaceBook …. Aren’t they adorable?! πŸ˜€

Movie Review: The Kingdom

Last night hubs made me watch this movie, to be honest I wasn’t interested in a bloody motion picture on a weekend late night but he said it’s an amazing movie! And it turned out it is.

One of the most powerful movies I’ve ever seen. It talks about the massive explosion that happened in Alrahman Camp in Saudi Arabia by Abu Hamza. It was so awful, those people who died were both Saudis n Americans, terrorism doesn’t know religion.

The movie showed all the details, I only knew about the explosion, but this movie showed me how it was done n what followed later on n how the caught Abu Hamza.

Watch it, highly recommended.

Movie Review: Burlesque

This movie was on my list of “to watch” for a long time. Last night I was home alone and decided to watch it. I love musical movies with costumes & those kinds of stuff. The movie made speechless, the songs, the shows, the moves, the songs, the costumes & not to mention Cher & Christina’s amazing voices πŸ˜€

The story is lovely, Christina’s acting was blah but her performance on stage, singing & moves was mind blowing. Cher was “no comment”, i love her & there were some eye candy actors who were also good in actin. One of them is the evil vampire in Twilight (Cam Gigandet) <– weird name. Oh yeah & Dr. McSteamy was among the cast (eric Dane).

After I finished watching the movie, i immediately surfed the net for Burlesque outfits *sigh*. Can we wear them and go out with Hijab?! πŸ˜›

Watch it, you’ll love it, if you’re into such genre.

Can’t get this song out of my head πŸ˜€

Movie Review: 127 Hours

One of the shittiest movies I’ve ever seen! & I don’t mean it’s not good, bad or awful but seriously, I was looking forward for this movie but after I’ve watched it, I wished I haven’t!

No one can handle such disturbing movie, very disgusting and it has some really creepy scenes! For me, I can handle bloody, gory & horror movies but this one was waaaay too much! Even my sister said I was crazy for watching this movie!

It’s about a man who gets trapped in the mountains and his hand stuck by a rock and take extreme measures and steps in order to survive and release himself! Well, any ideas how can one release his hand trapped under a huge rock?! *rolls eyes* I didn’t really think it will lead to that ending and knowing it’s a true story and that it really happened . . . eeeerrrrrr :S

James Franco was really amazing, his performance was beyond expectation! I didn’t expect him to pull this role but he actually did and I liked his acting but wish it was in another movie! not this one!

If you don’t have the guts, well then don’t watch! you won’t be able to handle the last part of the movie!
