@ZafafMagazine is collaborating this time with Rasha Al-Hejailan The author of the cook book The Women In My Life.
Subscribe now for 1 year in Zafaf Magazine & get The Women In My Life cook book as a gift. The book has been written by a Saudi woman who travelled the world with her father & finally settled down in Kuwait with her husband & two kids. The book has some of her personal recipes that she relates to & other recipes from her friends & family members.
Honestly, I’ve read good reviews about this book, I’ll be trying some recipes soon from the book & will let you know how it is😉
P.S. A donation will be made on your behalf when you get this book to “Helping Hands KSA” A charity in KSA that supports underprivileged children & to another institution called Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute which is located in Kuwait.

So yeah, this is the first time I use my iPad for reading, I’m still against e-books & stuff but I thought magazines are different, because I usually throw them unlike books, which I keep & take pictures of😛
Last night, I was wide awake & bored, so I thought why not check this empty app I have on my iPad. Clicked on it, choose some magazines that I like, & then surfed the issues of Cosmopolitan, which stopped coming to Kuwait. I chose May issue, it was for a 1.49 pounds (cheap) & then started downloading it.
It was really fun reading a magazine from the iPad, it killed time for sure, I kept reading it til 3:30 am & still haven’t finished it all. Guess will continue reading it tonight
What I liked about it, is that you can choose whatever issue you want. If you missed one, it will be available to download. Not like the old days, when an issue is not available then it will never be available, you can’t get it. This time you can
December issue 2011
Never thought it will be this huge, full & well priced KD 1.600
Woooohoooooo . . . aywaaaaaaa . . . chak chak chak😀
I’m soooo sooooo sooooooo happy😀 Even though it’s not that of a big deal but to me, IT IS😉 Never thought I’d be writing a short story & getting it published in of the most published magazines in Kuwait (Adam&Eve) now changed to (Sarab). Oh yeah & getting paid for it ba3ad😛
Remember my post about marriage (Living With A Male Room Mate)? I gotta thank Nunu for her encouragement & push to write this story & I gotta thank Dr. Dima Danawi for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to write in this amazing magazine.
My post on my blog wasn’t arranged and so many situations were mentioned in one post, but for the magazine, i had to change the way of writing, narrating style & write things from the start, from the very first beginning in details.
The story is in progress now, i have finished 5 parts & will continue writing it til i reach a point where i will know this is the end (God knows when)
Hope you enjoy reading it & please let me know about your honest opinion . . . i except sincere criticism😀
I remember Miss Afrah Alhashim contacting me on the 10th or 11th of February 2011 asking me to answer some questions for an article she’ll be writing in Adam&Eve magazine which is about Kuwaiti girls being single & some of them are being tagged as spinsters if they’re above the age of 25 and still not married!
That interview took place 3 days before meeting Mr. Right! not knowing that i’ll be meeting anyone anytime soon, i just got back from Singapore & i was enjoying my break at home. Guess you never know when THAT right man comes knocking on your door
Great writing skills Afrah
