Crayon Rocks @BonBonis_kw

1

Last month we’ve received a beautiful tiny gift for Jana. It was a muslin bag filled with Crayon Rocks for colouring. Jana went crazy over them, and she kept putting them back in the bag and out. Not to mention that she loved colouring with them.

I noticed how she held those rocks and it was exactly how she’s is supposed to hold a pen (As you can see in the pictures). Those Crayon Rocks are made to strengthen your child’s grip and make her/him know how to properly hold a pen without them knowing that they’re actually learning.

It’s all about learning skills with fun activities. I really loved them. Beside, the prices are more than great. Order for kids @Bonbonis_kw (instagram)

@Bento_Mommy Workshop

1

I’ve known @Bento_Mommy (Jana Alghunaim) from her amazing instagram account where she posts all her creativeness done for her little ones in an amazing way.

She prepares Bento Boxes meals for her children every morning, not feeling tired or bored. She creates the most amazing sandwiches/meals full of colours and healthy ingredients.

She created her first workshop a month ago in Crumbs Cafe-Murouj Branch where all the famous mommies in K-Town gathered with their children. I loved meeting the mommies who are famous on instagram and getting to know them better and discussing various topics regarding our children.

Crumbs Cafe created a fun activity for the kids where they shaped and baked their own cookies in the cafe while we were inside the kitchen preparing Bento Boxes for our kids. It wasn’t an easy task, it needs a lot of imagination and creativeness and mashallah Jana was really great. She gave us all the needed equipments and showed us the right way to do a Sponge Bob Bento πŸ™‚

As you can see from the pictures Jana was really happy when she saw the box πŸ˜€

Live Sketch Book @The_Avenues

1

Last month, I heard about a place that has opened recently and has activities for the kids at The Avenues. I like exploring new places, especially the ones made for kids because I like to take Juju and put a smile on her face.

Live Sketch Book is located at The Avenues-Grand Avenue Exit 20 just next to MUJI. From the pictures on instagram, I thought the place was big but it wasn’t and it has limited activities but at the time it’s lots of fun. The ticket was KD10/- for Jana which is overrated for such a small place but the good thing about it is that it’s valid for the whole day, kids can come and go for the whole day.

They have live sketch drawing where kids paint an animal and then send it to the huge screen and play with it. Creating their own animal character and having fun with it on a huge tv screen. They also have 3D drawing which Jana didn’t enjoy coz it’s not for her age, some drawing on white paper and the live mirror where you stand on a certain spot and an elephant or lion will appear. Of course Jana got scared lol

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel Family Vacation

1

Last week, I’ve decided to surprise the family and get away from everyday life and just enjoy our time away from our daily routine. I booked one night at Jumeirah Messilah Beach which looked very suitable for a family with a toddler aged almost 3 years old. I wanted to take my husband away from all the troubles of his work and Jana to enjoy the beach and pool activities.

One might think that one night is not enough but to me it was hehe πŸ˜› I got very tired going after Jana and looking after her in the heat under the burning sun while she enjoyed her time in the kids pool. Yes, it was worth it looking at that big huge smile on her face running and screaming out of joy but you know, I had my limits so one night was great.

We had an early check in around 1:30pm. Took our luggage to our room in the 2nd floor, changed and went to Olio to have lunch there (previous post). While we were heading to Olio, we passed by the swimming pools and Jana went crazy. We finished lunch, headed upstairs to change and then we went downstairs again where Jana had all the fun in the world. She didn’t want to leave that pool at all. It was lots of fun with all the splashing and games. I enjoyed watching her have fun.

We got out of the pool around 5:30pm, changed for her and she fell asleep til 7:30pm. We had light dinner at Mint Cafe near the blue fountain and then we went to Sindbad’s Kids Club where you can leave your kids to have fun if they are 5yrs and above or accompanied by someone if they are younger. I stayed with Jana for 30 minutes or so because later we had other arrangements.

The weather became nice around 12am so we got our snacks and we stayed in the garden til 2am. Hubs and I chatting while Jana ran around. It was nice.

The breakfast buffet opened at 6:15am and we were there around 6:20am because we couldn’t sleep and we were very hungry. The variety of food was really good and the food was really delicious. They also had great choices of cereals for kids and Nutella milk to add on. I chose that for Jana which she loved a lot. And then we went to the pool around 7:30am lol πŸ˜›

After that, I took her the room, gave her a shower and off to bed. Then I headed to Talise Spa to enjoy my time (next post).

Now regarding the room, we got the regular one which accommodates 2 persons and 1 child up to 4yrs. It was decent and spacious. Loved the bathroom, kinda big and had everything in it. The room had a coffee machine with coffee and tea capsules, safety box and the bed was really comfy.

Gerge’an Outfit for Jana by @Fatma_Al_Ateeqi

1

A couple of years ago, Jana received her first Gerge’an outfit from @Unique_By_FatmaΒ Previous Post. It looked so beautiful and elegant on Juju, detailed and had all the essentials. Now this year, we also received a gerge’an outfit for Jana and it looked even more and more beautiful and elegant (P.S. I still have the first outfit stored). The band, the bag, a braclet and not to mention the outfit itself. A new character made just for Fatma Al-Ateeqi brand called Chakleeta which means candy but it’s referred to a girl.

I loved everything about the outfit, the colours and the fabric are so vibrant and suits kids just fine. She really knows how to design outfits for girls.

AquaTots Swimming School for Children

1

How important is swimming for your kids? To me it’s very important and I’m planning to teach Juju in an early age, just as me. I know how to swim, every body in the family knows how to swim, so nshallah Juju will join us soon. It’s very important because it might save your kid one day from drowning. You don’t what might happen this evening or next week. Your kid might fall in a swimming pool. You want to make sure that your child knows how to save himself and manage to get out by swimming.

I got an invitation from AquaTots International School to try the place for one day. Knowing that Juju is still young for swimming and might get swimming-fobia, they forced me to get in the pool with her. It was weird with all people looking at me, but well I enjoyed it a lot.

At first she was really scared, like really really scared. So stiff, she wouldn’t spread her legs straight. When I jumped in, she became more relaxed and we started playing together with her trainer Sawsan. But then we decided to get her face into the water and boom, she started screaming like crazy, she wouldn’t stop crying, even with me holding her so tight. She just wanted out hehe πŸ˜›

It was a very lovely experience, i will take Juju back nshallah but not now, I want her to be a lil bit older. The place is very well equipped. It has everything that you need.

The Oz Land – The Dome Mall

1

I’ve heard a lot about this place. My colleagues/teachers talked a lot about it but I wasn’t sure where it was located until one of them took her kids and then told me where is it exactly. It’s located in Mahboula, just next to Kuwait Majic Mall. You’ll see a grey building, the place is inside.

What does this place have? Well, it has lots of things; your kids can enjoy 10 minutes with several animals, cats, parrots, rabbits or turtles. My Juju enjoyed her time with the cats, she loves them and had fun brushing their hair as you can see in the pictures below πŸ™‚

The place also has many games, playground and a sand playground. Juju didn’t want to leave that place, we had to pull her out of it making a lot of noise :/

The ticket for everything costs kd 5/- which is very reasonable and the time is unlimited for the sand playground and other games except for the animal houses.

Take your kids, they will have lots of fun πŸ˜€
