Veranda Restaurant Experience-Harvey Nichols (Soft Opening)

I was invited to attend the soft opening of the most awaited restaurant Veranda which is located  on the 1st floor of Harvey Nichols Kuwait. One of the finest Luxury Dining restaurants will introduce the best dishes to you in a very beautiful & unique setting where you’ll literally feel that you’re very special! The place will make you feel separated from the other world! The restaurant will mostly include dishes from the Middle East & the Mediterranean.

We were served BITES dishes to share, then starters, after that came the main dishes, and at the end it was dessert with coffee/tea time.

Duck Spring Rolls

Ingredients:Crispy Duck, Pomegranate & Spicy Tomato Chutney

Verdict: DELICIOUS! highly recommended!

King Prawn Tempura

Ingredients: Deep fried king prawns, saffron, lime & chive mayonnaise

Verdict: Very yummy as any other prawn tempura but what made it yummier is the Saffron Mayo dip

Crostini

Ingredients: Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil Pesto, Balsamic infusion

Verdict: Very light & delicious, a good starter before you have your main dish!

Aubergine Moutabal

Ingredients: Charcoal-grilled aubergine and tahini in a crisp shell

Verdict: I loved the way this dish was cooked, yummy indeed, you can eat it without bread & you’ll definitely enjoy the taste of Aubergine.

HomeMade Hummus

Verdict: YUUMMMMY, i loved it!

Salmon Salad

Ingredients: Aniseed cured Scottish Salmon, Cherry Oak smoked, with apple & fennel.

Verdict: hhmmm okay, this dish had a weird taste at first, I believe due to the mix of apple & fennel, but then u get used to it.

Canadian Lobster Ravioli

Ingredients: Lobster Ravioli on creamed leeks, and light bisque sauce.

Verdict: OH MY! One of the best dishes of the night ,,, Verrrrry moist & delicious, you can taste the lobster inside your tongue! I still can feel the taste. Highly Recommended

Hammour Medallions

Ingredients: Crusted nuts, fennel & appricot salsa, jallab sauce

Verdict: This dish was really great, I’m not a fan of jallab but I couldn’t feel it at all, or maybe i did but i enjoyed it 😛 Gotta tell you the salsa was soo goood!

Josper Baked Lamb Moussaka

Ingredients: Baked in a Josper Oveer, lamb with tomato sauce

Verdict: The IT Dish of the night ,,, both my husband & I enjoyed it alot! Verrrry Delicious & highly recommended

Red Espresso

Okay, this African coffee was VEEERYYYY STRONG & BITTER ,,, I couldn’t drink but to my surprise, my husband finished it :S

Raspberry & Pineapple Mille-Feullie

Verdict: Those who know me, know how much I love Raspberries ,,, This dessert dish was delicious

Mini Chocolate Mousse

Verdict: Delicious yet heay, but if you share it then it will be great, you’ll love it 🙂
