Reading Magazines on My iPad

So yeah, this is the first time I use my iPad for reading, I’m still against e-books & stuff but I thought magazines are different, because I usually throw them unlike books, ย which I keep & take pictures of ๐Ÿ˜›

Last night, I was wide awake & bored, so I thought why not check this empty app I have on my iPad. Clicked on it, choose some magazines that I like, & then surfed the issues of Cosmopolitan, which stopped coming to Kuwait. I chose May issue, it was for a 1.49 pounds (cheap) & then started downloading it.

It was really fun reading a magazine from the iPad, it killed time for sure, I kept reading it til 3:30 am & still haven’t finished it all. Guess will continue reading it tonight ๐Ÿ™‚

What I liked about it, is that you can choose whatever issue you want. If you missed one, it will be available to download. Not like the old days, when an issue is not available then it will never be available, you can’t get it. This time you can ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I always buy my magazines on the iPad it’s so much easier and in the long run whenever I’m bored I can search back issues of the ones I purchased before. One thing you have to realize is a yearly subscription will cost you the price of 1 issue of the magazine available in Kuwait (for example: Elle Magazine’s yearly subscription in Zinio (the app) is around 10$ yearly that’s 2.829 KWD whereas you buy it from the Bookstores here for no less than 4KD if not more (censored to hell and pages torn out).

Thus, if you ever needed something to convince you to move onto reading your magazines on your iPad this must be it! I swear most of my subcriptions cost literally nothing in comparison to prices here in Kuwait.

    P.S. 7elo your wallpaper who made it? ๐Ÿ˜› *Cough*Ehem*Cough* ๐Ÿ˜›

    • eee I’ve discovered it’s cheaper & yeah as you said, not censored! Khala9 im going to buy my magazines on my ipad but not books ๐Ÿ˜›

  2. I have subscribed more than a year ago.. got excited first but madri leash I am not using it anymore ๐Ÿ˜ฆ still i love it and it is better than buying it in paper and throwing it off.

    • ee it’s better than buying cheap paper & throwing it! You have your issue, I guess you can get back to them whenever you want ๐Ÿ™‚

I always wondered what reading a magazine on an ipad was like. Thanks for sharing.

  4. E-books & E-magazines r the best things to have, personally i did catch up on some of my favorites books & mags on my iPad i like the ability to have my books wherever i go & the ability to highlight some paragraphs while reading or even saving some quotes r the most important thing to me.

nothing beats the smell and the feel of old fashion books but all in all practicality comes first and e-books rules in that point.

    • yes to e-magazines & big NO to e-books! 7aram they’re ruining the whole thing, book stores are closing because of this technology! yes I can understand how useful it can be but still, nothing can beat reading from a real book!
