For months & we’ve been hearing about the brake problems in Toyota’s cars. When i started using my car (Fortuner 2010) i faced this problem but i thought it’s not a big deal for being clueless about such stuff but lately my brake problem became really serious, so we called Alsayer Group (Toyota dealer in Kuwait) to get an appointment because their garages are always hectic specially the one in Shuwaikh & to inquire about the warranty & whether it applies on this problem & they’ve informed us that the warranty applies.
When we handed the car to Al-Ahmedi garage, the employee received the car & wrote all the notes about the problems in the car including the brake one.
The nest morning Alsayer called me & told me the warranty has expire because i missed ONLY one service (20,000km) among all the other services that i had in their garages in the past 2 & a half years (40,000km now).
We called the PR manager who told us that he’ll check the whole issue & get back to us but he didn;t at all. We called Shuwaikh branch to file a complain but no one helped. On the contrary, Mr. Albuloushy told us that the warranty has expired even though the garage received the car for a whole day (247).
Finally we called Al-Ahmedi garage to pick up the car & no one gave us a damn attention. Even the garage manager in-spite of knowing about the brake problem!
Question: Who’s responsible when a car accident happens & an investigation is opened? Who’s to blame?
Obviously, Alsayer Group bailed on me & didn;t care about their customers’ safety! Way to go!
